Vera Lewis Sutherland, 89, a native of Robertsdale, a long time resident of Fort Worth, Texas, and a recent resident of Robertsdale, died surrounded by her loving family Friday, March 9, 2012. Mrs. Sutherland was an active member of the Handley Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert T. Sutherland, Fort Worth, Texas; son Joe W. Sutherland of Euless, Texas; daughter, Geri (Wayne) Stastka, Robertsdale; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Rock Cemetery in Robertsdale. A visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
