Vercial Reece Bray, age 93, a native of McCullough, Ala. and a resident of Fairhope, Ala., passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2016.
Mr. Bray retired from Brookley Field in 1969 as an electrician. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Vercial was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Bray; brothers, Vernon Bray and Lealand Bray; sisters, Edwina Bray Smith and Erin Bray Elkins.
He is survived by his wife, Madge Evans Bray of Fairhope; three children, Bennie M. (Stephanie) Bray of Dallas, Texas, Alan M. (Stacey) Bray of Mobile, Ala., Cheryl Bray of Daphne, Ala.; two brothers, Samuel A. (Joyce) Bray of Columbus, Miss., Raymon B. (Clara) Bray of Foley, Ala.; two sisters, Carolyn Hayes of Loxley, Ala., Elaine Bray Dobson of Douglasville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Chad, Alexis, Taylor and Chandler; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Ala., Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, from 1 until 2 p.m.
Graveside services and interment will be held Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 at 3 p.m. in Jubilee Memorial Gardens, Daphne, Ala.
The family would especially like to thank the nurses and staff of Thomas Hospital MICU, Dr. Coleman, Dr. Eves, Kindred Hospice nurses, Jenni and Faith, Right at Home Caregivers, Neal, Charletta and Yadeeyahand the entire staff of Westminster Village.
