FOLEY, Ala. — Music royalty is paying a visit to Foley this week.
Jazz violinist Ken Ford — known to many as the King of Strings — will be performing for students at several local schools this week, as well as playing a concert at Foley Civic Center this weekend.
Ford is performing for students at Foley Elementary School, High School, Intermediate and Foley Middle School this week.
He is also hosting several afternoon work sessions with students at the John McClure Snook Youth Club of Foley after school hours.
Ford will host ‘An Intimate Evening with Ken Ford’ from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. this Saturday at the Foley Civic Center.
During Saturday’s concert, Ford will perform popular Hip Hop and R&B classic sure to get the audience out of their seats.
The concert is a benefit event for the Snook Youth Club, which is a United Way Partner Agency.
