Virginia Gust Carman, 79, a native of Woodbine, Ga. and a resident of Silverhill, passed away.
Mrs. Carman was a member of Silverhill First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, R. Wayne Carman of Silverhill; daughter, Stephanie (George) Mader of Silverhill; son, R.L. Ozzie Altman of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Patty Strickland Altman of Woodstock, Ga.; son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Cannon Jr. of Jesup, Ga.; grandchildren, Amara Nicole Altman of Athens, Ga., M. Zeke Altman of Woodstock, Ga., Robert William Cannon III and Zachary Stephen Cannon, both of Jesup, Ga.; stepsons, Gary Byers of Long Beach, Calif. and Keith (Andrea) Byers of Stone Mountain, Ga. and step-grandchildren, Jessie Byers and Emily Byers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Silverhill First Baptist Church in Silverhill.
A visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 10 until 11.
A graveside service and burial will be held Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at 3 p.m., at Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery in Alma, Ga.
