Virginia Pearl Sanders Morris, 90, born in Hattiesburg, Miss. and a resident of the Gateswood community, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Foley.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Morris (Jack) Lewis of Nashville, Tenn. and Sharon Morris (Jimmy) Cooper of Gateswood; two brothers, Aaron “Buddy” Sanders of Boulder, Colo. and Alton Sanders of Ohio; two sisters, Delores McLaughlin of Atlanta, Ga. and Louise Sanders of Fort Myers, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lt. Com. Todd Lewis, Tiffany Gross and Kristi Stevens; and nine great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alexander, Ted and Jade Lewis, Jackson, Romy and Hudson Gross and Sheridan and Jadon Stevens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ossie Victor Morris; and her daughter, Victoria Morris.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 3 p.m., at Hamilton Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Lloyd and the Rev. Jack Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow at Hamilton Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 13, 2014, from 2 until the 3 p.m. service at Hamilton Baptist Church.
