MIFLIN – McKenzie Markets will host a Customer Appreciation Day on Sunday at its Miflin BP, off County Road 20, that will include giveaways such as free drinks and prizes, and the opportunity to take a ride on the BP Boat Simulator.
“We highly value the customers and we feel like in return we should offer something for them,” said Martha McKenzie, Vice President of Eufaula-based McKenzie Oil Company, which owns 12 convenient stores in Alabama and Florida. “And the BP Boat Simulator would be a great way to show our appreciation.”
The ride, provided by the BP franchise, allows people “of all ages to experience the thrill of piloting a professional bass fishing boat,” according to a press release.
“Children absolutely love it. The boat holds six people and you have 100 percent control of the steering wheel,” McKenzie said. “You can feel the sensation…like you are literally driving it through the river” and a projected screen with hi-definition graphics enhances the experience.
McKenzie’s Customer Appreciation Day begins at noon and will end by 6 p.m.
Cat Country 98.7 FM will conduct a live radio remote beginning at 1 p.m., and will distribute prizes to those who ride the virtual boat.
McKenzie Markets will also sponsor a coloring contest for elementary students and the first 200 contestants to submit their colorings will receive a prize and an entry for the chance to win a die-cast BP bass boat.
