BAY MINETTE, Ala. — The Baldwin County Solid Waste Department is encouraging residents to participate in the 2011 “Don’t Drop It on Alabama” Statewide Spring Cleanup sponsored by Alabama PALS (People Against a Littered State).

The Spring Cleanup will be April 16–23. Baldwin County citizens and organizations are encouraged to participate in this program to keep Baldwin County and Alabama beautiful.

To participate in Alabama PALS Spring Cleanup, contact Terri Graham at the Baldwin County Solid Waste Department at (251) 972-6878 (ext. 2798) to register your group or organization and arrange for pick-up and delivery of cleanup materials.

Each participating group will be given special litter bags, T-shirts and other materials provided by Alabama PALS to use during the event. All participating groups will then bring their Alabama PALS litter bags to the Baldwin County Magnolia Landfill, MacBride Landfill or the Bay Minette Transfer Station for disposal.
