Timothy E. (Tim) Brown

Position sought: Robertsdale City Council Place 4

Incumbent? No

Past political offices held: None

Relevant business or other experience: Past chairman for the South Baldwin Relay for life. Member of the Baldwin County Leadership Council for the American Cancer Society.

What other factors qualify you for this office? I am a life-long member of the City of Robertsdale. I understand the needs of this community.

Why are you running for this office? I want to help our great city move forward in a positive direction. Provide a new vision.

What are the major issues facing your municipality? The City of Robertsdale is constantly having to report to ADEM raw sewage overflows with our current out of date sewer system. I feel that we need to improve this area of our infrastructure immediately. I am very worried that ADEM will start fining us with heavy fines if this is not corrected. I would like to see more on the road police officers in our city. There should be no less than four patrol officers on the streets at all times with the size of our city limits and jurisdictions. I would like to offer all help needed to our fire department to raise our ISO rating from 4 to 3. It will give our fire department a lot of pride and help lower insurance rates for our citizens. We have an outstanding fire and police departments. We have hard working and very dedicated city employees in all aspects of our city. I would like to see the old site of Berner Pecan company, for which the city now owns, turned into a family fun center with a bowling alley and skating center. The city would generate revenue, create jobs and give our community a safe place to have family fun. Currently that revenue is being spent in Foley, Spanish Fort and Bay Minette.

What is your platform? Conservative and proud American.

Why should voters vote for you? I am a U.S. Navy Veteran. I am also a Veteran of the Persian Gulf War and life member of the VFW. I own and operate a successful business in the city limits of Robertsdale. I am affected both personally and in business by what happens at our city council meetings. I want to help guide those actions over the next

years.
