W. J. Carroll Intermediate School students participate in a reading program called Accelerated Reader, a daily progress monitoring software assessment used to keep accurate records of reading and comprehension skills. Students participate in fundraising to support the continued use of the program.
After an Accelerated Reader tumbler fundraiser, the efforts of the top three students were recognized.
Each homeroom created a theme basket of goodies that were displayed for a silent auction at a recent PTO meeting. By the end of the evening, over a $1,000 was raised.
