Wade Dwight Mitcham, 67, a native of Monroe, Ga. and resident of Elberta, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Pensacola.
Wade was an army veteran of the Vietnam War, a lifetime member of the VFW and a former employee of Elberta Elementary School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Mary Mitcham; and a brother, Wilson Mitcham.
Wade is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jeanne Doege Mitcham of Elberta; two daughters, Kim (Chris) Still of Camp Lejeune, N.C. and Tanya (Gary) Evans of New Egypt, N.J.; a sister, Connie Henderson of Social Circle, Ga.; four grandchildren, Caleb and Mya Evans, and Tyler and Jacob Still; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 6, 2014, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow at Lay Cemetery in Elberta.
