Walter J. Sliwinski, 88, a native of Neffs, Ohio and a resident of Robertsdale died Monday, Aug, 15, 2011.Mr. Sliwinski was a dairy farmer for most of his working life. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid gardener and loved to read.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Sliwinski of Robertsdale; six daughters, Amelia Sliwinski of Robertsdale, Stasia Sliwinski of Edgar, Wisc., Carol VanTruinen of Billings, Mont., Samantha Rockenbauer of Robertsdale, Julianne Sliwinski of Cleveland, Ohio and Tanya Sliwinski of Merrill, Wisc.; one son, Steven Sliwinski of Plano, Texas; several brothers and sisters, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 19, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home with burial in Silverhill Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.
