Jessie Lee Averitt Walton, 81, a native of Pine Hill and a resident of Bay Minette, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008 at North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette.
She was a retired trimmer with Manor Slacks and was a member of Stockton Eastern Star Chapter 42.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Della Averitt; her brothers, Ed Averitt and J. B. Averitt; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband, Grady L. Walton of Bay Minette; three sons, James (Susan) Walton of Elsanor, Kenneth (Bonnie) Walton of Bay Minette and Donald (Debbie) Walton of Iron City, Tenn.; brothers and sisters, Frances Williamson of Pine Hill, Bernice Strickland of Chickasaw, Lois McMillan of Bay Minette, Preston Williamson of Chickasaw and Juanita Lynn of Saraland; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 28 at New Life Baptist Church with the Rev. Otis Thames officiating. Burial followed at New Life Baptist Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
