Dr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Watts III, of Columbia, Miss., announce the engagement of their daughter, Abby Lynne Watts, to William Nelson Bauer of Daphne, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Bishop of Daphne and Mr. and Mrs. Al Bauer of Fairhope.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Maxine B. Martin of Birmingham, the late A.W. Martin of Florence, Mrs. Thomas Watts Jr., of Columbia, and the Mr. Watts.
She is a 2003 graduate of Columbia High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Auburn University in 2007. She is a fourth-grade teacher with the Auburn School District.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Clinton and Sybil Wilson of Daphne and the late Bobby Williams, Ranny and Sylvia Bauer of Daphne, and the late Bobbie Jean Thompson.
He is a 2001 graduate of Daphne High School and a 2003 graduate of Faulkner State Community College. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in criminology from Auburn University in 2006 and his master’s in justice and public safety from Auburn University last December. He is employed with the City of Auburn.
The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 p.m. June 14, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Columbia, Miss.
