Wayne Weaver Wilson II, a resident of Mobile, passed away at home on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 from lung cancer. He grew up in Fairhope.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Wilson of Mobile; his parents, Judy and Wayne Wilson of Montrose; his daughter and husband, Kendra and C.V. Partridge; his son, Wayne Weaver Wilson III (Troy); his other son and wife, David and Krysten Wilson; and his seven adorable grandchildren, Clay, Julia, Amelia, Wayne Weaver Wilson IV (Dubs), Adler, Dawson and Kenley.
Weaver and Donna were married for 32 years, and he spent all of his 52 years enjoying life in south Alabama.
He loved to hunt and fish with friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh.
Boating with his grandkids was a favorite pastime. Weaver was an avid Auburn football fan!
Weaver worked for Mobile Aerospace; he traveled the whole country representing them to secure maintenance equipment that supported the U.S. airline fleet. He was very mechanically gifted, and could fix anything.
A memorial service was held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope on Saturday, Nov. 1. Along with friends and family, his three siblings attended, Rene' Wilson of Asheville, N.C., Audre Coleman of Nashville, Tenn. and Alan Wilson of Stapleton.
Weaver was a kind and loving husband, father, son, brother, friend and “Pops” to his grandchildren. Though we keep him close in our hearts, he will be forever missed in our lives.
