W.D. “Durwood” Sahr, 70, passed away Feb. 10, 2014 in Prarieville, La.
He was a resident of Prarieville, but a native of Elsanor, where he lived most of his life.
He graduated from Robertsdale High School in 1961, and served four years in the United States Air Force.
He resided in Prarieville more than 20 years. He retired as a truck driver from Texaco.
He was preceded in death by his stepbrothers, Roy and Toby Harper; and his stepfather, Eugene Harper.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sahr of Prarieville; two sons, Bart and Mark Sahr; four grandchildren, Cole, Cade, Alexis and Milayna Sahr; his mother Mary Belle Harper; a sister, Linda Ervene Lambeth Earl of Brewton; and sister-in-law, Brenda Harper of Robertsdale.
There will be a memorial service held Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 1 p.m., at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
Durwood had many friends and relatives. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
