GULF SHORES, Ala. - The opening night of the Gumbo Fest at The Wharf and the opening night of Music at Meyer Park in Gulf Shores have both canceled due to approaching weather from the west.
According to officials at The Wharf as of now the Kenny Chesney show is still scheduled for 7 p.m.
The start of the LA Gumbo Fest has been postponed until Friday at 10 am.
The Festival will run from 10-6 on Friday with live music from noon to 9 p.m. Friday.
Saturday there is World Record Gumbo, a Gumbo cook off, Arts and Crafts, Cooking demos, more live music and other festivities.
Jon Cowart and Cornbred were scheduled for Meyer Park, but have rescheduled for May 30 at 6 p.m. at the park.
