Daphne 61, Robertsdale 46

ROBERTSDALE—The Daphne Trojans took a 61-46 road win at Robertsdale Friday night in Class 6A, Area 2 action. Keyonte Mitchell scored 15 points and Deontaye Buskey added 11 for Daphne which improved to 6-2 in league play and 10-12 overall. The Golden Bears (9-16, 2-6) were led by Javas Davis who scored 13 points and Dylan Smith who finished with 10.

The Trojans led 27-18 at halftime and held off a Robertsdale rally down the stretch as the Bears came back to within three points at 31-28 before the Trojans pulled away down the stretch.

The Golden Bears close out the regular season at Foley Friday night at 7:30 p.m. while Daphne will travel to Theodore Friday for their final regular-season contest at 7:30.

Spanish Fort 86, Gulf Shores 57

GULF SHORES—The Spanish Fort Toros took an 86-57 league win in The Dolphins’ Tank at Gulf Shores Friday night in Class 6A, Area 2 action. The victory was the Toros’ 20th of the season as they also improved to 6-1 in area play.

Terrin Atkinson shot a career-high 41 points for Spanish Fort including seven 3-pointers while Toro teammate Trent Strickland added 10. The ‘Phins were led by Carter Brewton’s 14 points and Lucas Michaelis who finished with 11 points.

Spanish Fort (20-7, 6-1) will host Bayside Academy Friday at 7:30 p.m. to close out the regular season. The Dolphins will host Foley Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Alma Bryant Friday at 6:30 p.m. for their final regular-season contest. Class 6A, Area 2 boys tournament play is set to begin Feb. 3.

Daphne 51, Robertsdale 17

ROBERTSDALE—Daphne’s Lady Trojans improved to 3-5 in league play with a 51-17 road win at Robertsdale Friday in Class 6A, Area 2 action.

Brooke Battiste scored 12 points to lead Daphne which jumped out front 12-0 in the first quarter. Robertsdale was led by Destiny Wasington and Bre Watkins who scored five points each.

The Lady Golden Bears won the next eight minutes 9-7 to trail 19-9 at the half, but the Trojans dominated the second half with a 32-8 differential.  

The Lady Golden Bears (1-21, 0-8) close out the regular season at Foley Friday night at 6 p.m. Daphne will travel to Theodore Friday for their final regular-season contest. Class 6A, Area 2 girls tournament  play is set to begin Feb. 2.

Spanish Fort 42, Gulf Shores 34

GULF SHORES—Spanish Fort High’s Lady Toros took a Class 6A, Area 2 win over the Lady Dolphins Friday at The Tank at GSHS.

Spanish Fort was led by India James’ 13 points and Rose Gul’s 12 as the Toros improved to 6-1 in Area 2 standings and 17-11 overall. Morgan Campbell led Gulf Shores with eight points.

Spanish Fort will host Bayside Academy Friday at 6 p.m. to close out the regular season. The Dolphins will host Alma Bryant Friday at 5 p.m. for their final regular-season contest. Class 6A, Area 2 girls tournament play is set to begin Feb. 2.
