DAPHNE, Ala.—The 2011 Classic Rock 5K and Fun Run will usher in a Mardi Gras weekend on Saturday, when more than 1,700 running enthusiasts, students, teachers and parents take to the streets in Olde Towne Daphne to benefit Supporting Educational Enrichment in Daphne’s Schools.
Both races start and finish at Daphne City Hall (1705 Main St.), where a Mardi Gras-themed post-race party will round out a memorable morning for the whole family.
In-person sign-up is available at the Daphne Recreation Department and Running Wild in Fairhope through noon March 3. Complete race details are available at seedsindaphne.org.
