Mattie Welch, 93, a native of Atmore and resident of Robertsdale, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 after a lengthy illness.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Gill of Robertsdale.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Thames Bankester of Robertsdale, Bonnie Childres Cruse of Summerville, S.C., and Sharon Welch Robinson of Tuscaloosa; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 26 from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home. Burial followed at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Alheimers Foundation or the Robertsdale United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
