Werner memorial set for Sunday

Peter J. Werner Jr., 83, a Daphne resident for many years, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Monday, Oct. 6.

He is survived by his wife, Tomasina; son, Kevin Werner (Linda) of Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Kerry Fitzpatrick (Jim) of Granite Bay, Calif.; step-daughter, Melinda Youngblood (Terry) of Daphne; step-son, Eric Cooley of Spanish Fort; brother, Robert Werner (Miriam) of Milwaukee, Wis.; sister, Elaine Royal of Naples, Fla., and four grandchildren.

Peter’s body has been donated to the University  of South Alabama College of Medicine Anatomical Gifts Program for use in its research to advance medical treatment and technology.

A memorial service is set for 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12 at Spanish Fort  United Methodist  Church. Visitation will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
