Wesley Roberts, 72, a native of Perdido and a resident of Rabun for most of his life, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 in Bay Minette.

Wesley Roberts

Wesley Roberts, 72, a native of Perdido and a resident of Rabun for most of his life, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 in Bay Minette.

He was an employee of the Alabama State Docks for 25 years and attended the Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Olean Roberts; and brother, Verlon Roberts.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy (Rita) Roberts of Bay Minette and Johnny Roberts of Huntsville; daughter, Angie (Mike) Johnson of Bay Minette; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Buster Roberts of Lottie and Larry Roberts of Robertsdale; and four sisters, Gladys Cooper and Ruth Adams, both of Bay Minette, Linda Boyington of Stapleton and Joyce Henry of Millport.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 10 at Guy’s Chapel Methodist Church with Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Paul Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by Petty Funeral Homes LLC, Eastside Chapel, Atmore.
