Robert “Fat” Whatley, 54, a native and lifelong resident of Bay Minette, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at a local hospital.
He was a friend to all and helped anyone he could. He attended the Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Timple Linton of Bay Minette; his mother, Nora Whatley of Bay Minette; step-daughter, Bpmmoe Blackmon of Atmore; three brothers, Howard Whatley of Mobile, Horace Whatley of Pine Grove and Bobo Whatley of Bay Minette; three sisters, Barbara Ann Adams, Kay Kay Mandez and Riddie Hancock, all of Bay Minette.
Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 14 at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 15 at the funeral home with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Bryars-McGill cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Petty Funeral Homes LLC, Eastside Chapel, Atmore.
