SPANISH FORT, Ala.—Spanish Fort High School’s Key Clubbers’ activities in September included more than just Thursday morning meetings.
Teens raised funds for the Children’s Miracle Network (the Alabama District project) at a Bruno’s bagging groceries; they raised more than $900.
Also, Key Clubbers held induction ceremonies for new officers and club members, joining interclub meetings with the Daphne Kiwanis, performing the stadium clean-up following Spanish Fort High School home games at Daphne High and participating in annual Coastal Clean-up.
Also, the club’s teens will attend the Division 18 Fall Rally. The rally is held once annually for the Key Clubs of Baldwin County. It is led by the lieutenant governor of the division, Amanda Brewer, student at Spanish Fort High School and member of the Alabama District Key Club Board of Trustees. This year’s theme will be “Iron Bowl.”
Students will learn about their roles as members and officers, as well as making donations of school supplies to the local USA Children’s Hospital in honor of their favorite college football teams.
Key Club students of Spanish Fort High School are serving their homes, school, and communities as they learn to give back, develop leadership skills, and create competent and caring teenagers throughout the Nation.
Under the direction of Jack Watt, biology teacher, these students are shining examples of the caliber of our future leaders, a school spokesperson said.
