DAPHNE, Ala.—Next week, students begin taking the SAT and ARMT tests. The test-taking days will span over two weeks. The SAT, a national standardized test will take up most of the days of the two weeks, although students only take the tests on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The ARMT, or Alabama Reading and Math Test, is only taken by Alabama students. It covers material specific to the Alabama curriculum guidelines. Students are encouraged to get a good night’s sleep and to be sure to eat a good and healthy breakfast to get your mind prepared to test. Please make sure you get to school on time every day!

Fifth-graders will also be taking the Alabama Science Assessment Test. There will be no homework given throughout the testing period. If you switch classes, you will take your SAT/ARMT in your homeroom teacher’s class. Everyone who is there for all of the days of test-taking will get some type of prize for being there.

We will celebrate our academic achievements at our honors assembly on Monday, March 30. We hope parents, family and friends can join us.
