On March 14 our school will be having a Spring Fling held in the gym. This is only for students from our school. The students are going to be listening to songs like the “Cha-Cha Slide” and “The Cupid Shuffle.” Our PTO is excited about decorating the gym for the Spring Fling. Cost will be $5 per person. We hope that the students will have a great time there because it takes a lot of work to get it set up.

In a few days, our school will be literally rolling in dough. Monday, March 10 will mark the end of the cookie dough sale. Tubs of your favorite cookies along with tasty coffees, teas and cocoa can be ordered. Profits will be used to buy books for the new school library, which is scheduled to open in the 2008–2009 school year. We would love to order something for you. For delicious cookie treats place an order with your neighborhood WJC Trojan today or through the library

We will have spring portraits done on March 12. Students may come to school out of uniform. This will be a great chance to wear your very best clothes but please remember a few things: Girls may only wear spaghetti straps with a cover or with an undershirt. Skirts and dresses must be 2 inches below the knees.

Our Accelerated Reading Beach Club ends on March 14, the same day third quarter is completed. Report cards will go home on Thursday, March 20.

It’s almost time for spring break! There’s no telling if it’s going to be hot or cold. Our school gets out in April 14 through 18. Time to take a break from homework and tests and say hello to the sun! No more winter! It’s just like summer except less warmer and less love bugs!
