Frank Stevenson White, 90, a native of Belleville, Ill., and a resident of Daphne, for the past 25 years, died on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at a local nursing facility.

He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Washington University, St. Louis. He was a chemical engineer for many years for businesses around the country, specializing in the start up of manufacturing plants. He held 12 original patents for fluid bed technology. Before retiring to Fairhope, he was a successful stockbroker in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Ormond and Anna Spoenoman White.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Jimmie Pardue White of Daphne; three daughters, Cynthia (James) Hornbuckle of Cincinnati, Nanette (David) Zimmerman of Oakwood, Ohio and Roslyn White of Memphis, Tenn.; his wife’s children, Robert (Joanna) Cunningham of Daphne, Cleve (Mary) Cunningham of Clearwater, Fla., and Genie (John) Harris of Tuscaloosa; eight grandchildren, Marcia Stewart, Mary Jane Hornbuckle, Tiffany Chambers, Tony Bassano, Charlsie Hausen, Robb Cunningham, Jacob Cunningham, Brady Cunningham; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 1.
