A White House Fork man who allegedly kicked and expectorated blood and saliva on a deputy’s face during a domestic violence incident faces numerous charges that will be presented to the Baldwin County grand jury.
According to court documents, Sheriff’s deputy J.E. Davis responded to the call Aug. 7 at midnight and discovered Terry Bernard Ezell, 31, of White House Fork Road making threats to his sister who shared the residence.
A deposition states Ezell was armed with a knife and said he would harm his sister and threw her property about the residence.
Ezell then allegedly engaged in “violent tumultuous behavior and used obscene language,” according to court records.
During the arrest attempt, Davis allegedly was pushed to the ground, injuring his leg. Ezell then attempted to cause physical injury to Davis by “spitting blood and saliva into the deputy’s face and eyes,” according to Baldwin County District Court records.
Ezell is charged with disorderly conduct, second-degree assault, domestic violence (harassment) and resisting arrest.
He was bound over Sept. 6 and is free on bond.
In a separate case, a Bay Minette woman is charged with second-degree assault after allegedly stabbing a male in the back during a July 4 altercation at the Douglasville Community Center.
Canosha Shantel Mims, 24, of Rain Drive was arrested July 10 and released on $5,000 bail, according to court records.
According to a deposition, a fight broke out at the center involving several subjects. Mims said she was slapped by a male, prompting her to stab him in the back with a knife.
