BAY MINETTE, Ala. White House Water System subscribers will vote Tuesday to express their opinion about a North Baldwin Utilities proposal to acquire all assets of the WHWS. The special meeting and referendum are scheduled Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Delta Elementary School on County Road 40.
WHWS attorney Bob Wills said Tuesday that subscribers should bring a driver’s license for identification when casting their vote.
“We know almost all of the subscribers, but it’s a good idea to bring some identification,” Wills said.
Ballots are numbered and will be checked against a master list at the polling site. Subscribers who cannot attend may vote by proxy.
Results of the vote will assist the WHWS board of directors in making a decision about the proposed merger. The WHWS serves about 1,900 customers.
