Thomas Beason Wilkes Jr., a native of Fort Payne and a resident of Gulf Shores, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007.
He was a lover of His Lord, his family and his work. He will be sorely missed as family and friends celebrate his Homecoming.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Wilkes; his children, April Pierce of Atlanta; Jamie Cormier of Tuscaloosa and Beason Wilkes III of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Kacy Ryan Silvis, TomyLyn Silvis, both of Goldsboro, N.C. and L.J. Cormier of Tuscaloosa; his dogs, B.G. and Larry.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 at Gulf Shores United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow the service.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
