William Amos “Billy” Bozone Jr., 88, born in Megargel, and a resident of Bay Minette, died Friday, March 2, 2012. Mr. Bozone’s father opened a grocery store in Bay Minette in 1923. He became the owner in 1946 until 1992 which was called Leadway Food Store. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II where he was a recipient of a purple heart. He is survived by his children, Bill (Lynn) Bozone of Stockton; Mike Bozone of Round Rock, Texas, and Ann Bozone of Bay Minette; five grandchildren, Justin Bozone, Michael Bozone, Elizabeth Chisholm, Carolyn (Kyle) Rasco and Judy Bozone; and four great-grandchildren, Wally Chisholm, Tyler Chisholm, McKinley Chisholm and Gavin Rasco. Private family graveside service and burial will be Monday, March 5, at 11 a.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery, with the Rev. Jeff Spicer officiating.
