William Curtis McKay, age 96, born in Spoontown, Fla. and a resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at his residence.
He was a saw filer (retired) at John Murphy McMillan Sawmill. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Marie (Fain) McKay of Bay Minette; his children, Cherryl “Cherry” Elaine McKay (Ted) Payne of Wetumpka, James Allen McKay of Quantico, Va. and Curtis Michael “Mickey” (Thela) McKay of Bay Minette, and one grandson, Joel T. (Christina) McKay of Opelika, Ala. Graveside services and burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery with the Rev. Glen Whitfield Jr. officiating.
