William Henry Enfinger, 80, known as Buddy to all of his family and friends, passed away in his home just before sunrise on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, surrounded by his family.
Buddy was a native of Esto, Fla. and a resident of Summerdale for 55-plus years.
He retired from the Alabama Department of Agriculture after 42 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie G. Enfinger and Mary Lou Enfinger of Esto, Fla.; and an infant son and daughter.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bertha H. Enfinger of Summerdale; daughter, Kim E. Hesse (John) of Summerdale; two sons, William Timothy Enfinger of Wetumpka, Ala. and Clifford Kent Enfinger (Theresa) of Foley; three grandchildren, Tiffany E. Morse, Michael Grant Hesse and Hannah Lynn Hesse; one great-granddaughter, Lauren Marie Morse; and brothers and sisters, Mary Nell McKinney, Millege Gene Enfinger, Frank Enfinger (Wynelle), Virginia Wells (Allen) and Martha Williams (Sam).
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, from noon until 2 p.m., with the celebrative service immediately following, both at Summerdale Church of Christ.
Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley.
