William Henry Shier Jr., age 80, a native of Michigan and a resident of Foley passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Cook Shier of Foley; son, Brian Scott Shier and daughter, Beth Anne Shier. He is survived by two sons, William H. Shier III (Victoria) of St. Clair, Mich., and Kenneth A. Shier (Laura) of Cropwell, Ala; brother, Reinhardt C. Shier of Farmington Hills, Mich; three grandchildren, Scott T. Shier, Jessica L. Shier and Ashley K. Palmer. Service is at 10 a.m. on March 9, 2013 at Foley United Methodist Church in Foley.
