Capt. Joseph Norman Willis, 66, a native and resident of Foley, died Thursday, January 22, 2009, at his residence.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a Master Mariner for 35 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 99, Foley, Elk's Lodge # 2782, Foley, and the Masonic Lodge # 766, Foley.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Brice Willis of Foley; two sons, Wade (Tonya) Willis and Rusty Willis, all of Foley; two stepsons, Joseph (Christy) Holasz of Fairhope and Robert (Julie) Smith of Dallas; daughter, Kimberly Neese of Foley; brother, James (Toni) Willis of Elberta; two sisters, Lucille Langston of Foley and Dorothy (Steve) Stronach of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 19059 Greeno Road Suite A, Fairhope, AL, 36532.
