Wilmer Lee Turner, age 79, born in Atmore, and a resident of Stockton, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at his residence.
He was a meat cutter at D&D Supermarket. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea. He is survived by his children, Levenia (Donald) Kirchharr of Bon Secour, Zena Bernice Morris of Bon Secour, Dee Anna (Benjamin) Bryars of Perdido, and Stewart Wade (Connie) Turner of Stockton; one brother, Dennis C. Turner of Indian Rock, FL; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Nichole Cooper, Warren Dean Cooper, II, Michael Allen Turner and Lileth Darline Bryars and two great-grandchildren, Sydney Rain Cooper and David Isaiah Turner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darline Stewart Turner; five brothers and two sisters. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Reverend Wade Turner, the Reverend Houston Gill and the Reverend Charles Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at New Providence Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
