The Rev. Ralph H. Woerner Sr., 76, a resident of Elberta, died Saturday, April 19, 2008.
He was married to his loving wife Barbara for 54 years. He was a Christian and Missionary Alliance Minister for 50 years, and was the publisher of The Messenger/Answer Magazine.
He founded this nonprofit magazine which is dedicated to reaching communities across the U.S. with the life giving message of Jesus.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph H. Woerner Jr.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Woerner of Elberta; four daughters, Elaine Mitchell of Birmingham, Sharon Ezell of Birmingham, Kinsey Oglesby of Fayettville, N.C., and Pamela Paul of Largo, Fla.; two brothers, Oscar Woerner and Fred Woerner, both of Elberta; three sisters, Agnes Gray of Pensacola, Fla., Carolyn Ballard of Toccoa, Ga., and Martha Bartl of Elberta; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 21 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22 at Genesis Church, Foley. Burial will follow at Elberta Public Cemetery.
