The Wolf Bay Watershed Watch will hold its semi-annual Trash and Treasure and Plant Sale, Oct.  26-27 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Miflin Community Center, off County Road 20, east of the Foley Beach Express.

The plant sale will feature a bevy of citrus including: Satsuma (3 varieties – Owari, Armstrong, and Brown Select), Meyer Lemon, Persian Lime, Key Lime, Moro Blood Orange, Hamlin Orange, Sweet Kumquat, Rio Red Grapefruit, Ponkin Mandarin and Sunburst Tangerine.

The master gardeners of the watershed watch, who raise much of the flora in their greenhouse at the community center, will also sell “old fashioned” roses, Knock-Out roses, two varieties of banana, three varieties of elephant ears and a wide selection of native perennials, azaleas, wildlife attractors and wetland plants.

“Trash and Treasures” – second-hand items - will be on sale until 1 p.m., and will include

“anything from silverware, to china, glassware, general brick and brack, furniture, appliances and tools,” said Stan Mahoney, an event organizer and executive director of the watershed watch.

“We have practically a warehouse full of stuff,” Mahoney said.  “And we think everybody will find something that they would love to have or need.”

Directions: The Miflin Community Center is within an eighth-of-a-mile of the intersection of County Roads 20 and 83, which is directly south of the Town of Elberta.  Heading south from the City of Foley on U.S. 59, turn left at the light onto County Road 20, cross over the Foley Beach Express and the community center is approximately two-and-half miles from the express on the left.
