DAPHNE, Ala. - The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office detained Tashanna Weeks Oliver for questioning in the murder of a Daphne man early Wednesday morning. According to reports, the victim, 28-year-old Willie Lee Young Jr., was stabbed multiple times and sought help from neighbors near the corner of Pollard and Newman roads before collapsing in a someone’s home.
Oliver, 32, of Fairhope, was taken into custody on outstanding warrants and as of press time, was not being charged with the murder of Young. Capt. Steve Authur told media on the scene that Oliver was with Young in the hours before he was stabbed and there may be other suspects involved.
“We are still trying to determine what happened and have not identified a suspect or a motive at this time,” Authur said Wednesday.
