Lisa Beckner Wood, 36, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and a longtime resident of Foley, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007.
She taught art at Foley High School for nine years. She served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Survivors include her husband, Shane Wood of Foley; her mother, Sara Breckner of Foley; her father, Carl Ernest Breckner of Foley; a brother, Robert Carl Breckner of Foley; grandmother, Frances Taylor of South Portland, Maine; uncle, John Taylor of Scarborough, Maine; aunt, Claria Hilda Harris of Foley; great aunt, Thelma Taylor of South Portland, Maine; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesdsay, Aug. 8 AT Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 at St. Paul’s Luetheran Church in Foley.
In honor of Lisa and the way she lived her life, the family suggests that all who attend her funeral service consider wearing bright, cheerful attire.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Performing Arts Association, 119 W. Laurel Ave., Foley, AL 36535.
