Ruby Lee Wallace Woods, 82, a native of Rosinton and resident of Pensacola, Fla., died Monday, July 27, 2009 at her home.

She was a homemaker and mother of nine children.

She was preceded in death by: her husband of 53 years, Carl Owen Woods, her parents, Tommy and Nora Wallace, sister and brother-in-law, Bill and Louise Billups, brother, Thomas Wallace; daughters, Lynda Gayle and Evelyn Margaret Woods and son-in-law, Roy G. Wild.

Survivors include eight children, Connie (Rip) Pollock, Helen (Dan) Miller, Pat (Arthur) Beaver, Teresa Barnett, Charlette Woods, Carl Woods, Cathy Woods-Wild, Kim Kulig; her Yorkieman; seven grandchildren, Charlie Brahier, Clint Beaver, Ashley (D.J.) Meloy, Tiffany (Patrick) Cayton, Bobby Miller, Tracie (Ryan) Miller and Ryan Miller, six great-grandchildren, Tina, Matthew and Timmy Beaver, Even and Ella McNally, Bryan Miller and one on the way, Braily Cayton; six brothers and sisters, Frankie (Tish) Wallace, Sally (Clyde) Bennett, Richard (Betty) Wallace, Jimmy (Kitty) Wallace, Joy (Chubby) Boykin and Billy (Judy) Wallace; her extended family, James and Brenda Fuller, Gracie Phillips, David Fabbiani and Amanda Lagergren; and her friend, Louise Delay.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Stafford of Liberty Church officiating. Graveside services will follow at Rock Cemetery in Robertsdale.

Pallbearers will be James Fuller, Al Neifert, her nephews, Tommy Wallace, Burr Wallace, Bruce Wallace, Mike Bill, Alan Nelson and Paul Bennett. Honorary pallbearers are brothers, Frankie Wallace, Richard Wallace, Jimmy Wallace and Billy Wallace and brothers-in-law, Clyde Bennett and Chubby Boykin.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Covenant Hospice.

Arrangements are by Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens.
