DAPHNE, Ala.— After 78 days working on roadwork projects in Lake Forest, the contractors have already accomplished plenty of the roadwork slated for the project. The completed aspects of the project include mountable curbing at medians on Ridgewood Drive south of Lawson Road and driveway apron repairs on the property side of Ridgewood Drive.
On Thursday, the contractor announced that inlet throats, boxes and tops were 95 percent complete along Ridgewood Drive north and south of Lawson Road, and the sod is 75 percent completed on Ridgewood Drive.
Trees have also been removed and concrete nose points are complete at the intersection of Lawson Road and Ridgewood Drive.
In the upcoming week, property owners with property in the following areas can expect work. Between 424 and 482 Ridgewood Drive, 425 and 469 Ridgewood Drive, at 101 Lawson Road and 100 Cherry Hill Road, between 485 and 521 Ridgewood Drive and 486 and 532 Ridgewood Drive, between 121 and 155 Bay View Drive and 100 Lakeview Loop, Milburn Circle and Pineview Circle.
In the upcoming week, contractors expect the final asphalt wearing to be completed on Ridgewood Drive north and south of Lawson Road. All curbing should also be completed at Ridgewood Drive and the Lawson Road entrance.
Curbing, drainage and tree removal work will continue.
Lake Forest residents can continue to expect traffic delays as a result of the construction during working hours. Flaggers will be placed along the impacted areas to direct traffic.
