Wreck in Foley, one medevacked

Posted

On Tuesday, Sept. 6, sirens filled north Foley as the fire department, police and EMS responded to a wreck around Fred’s Pharmacy a little before 1 p.m. According to Lt. Otis Miller with Foley Police Department, it was a right of way issue.

One car was attempting to cross Highway 59 to Fred’s. It crossed into the pathway of a silver SUV that was heading northbound.

The vehicles left the roadway and struck a light pole.

The passenger in the first car was extricated by Foley Fire Department using the Jaws of Life. The subject was then flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola in stable condition, per Foley Fire.
