Mary Royster Young, a native of Conecuh County and a resident of Loxley, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009.
She was a faithful member of Shrine of the Holy Cross Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Royster and Rebecca Dailey Pope; and a brother, brother, Clarence Royster.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Young of Loxley; two children, Deborah Young (Kermitt) Hardy of Daphne and Darrell R. (Maria) Young of Birmingham; grandson, Andre Young of Loxley; six sisters, Barbara McCall of Houston, Celestine Woods of Bayou La Batre, Liz P. Richmond of Carson City, Calif., Vera Williams of Humble, Texas, Erma Buchanan of Fairhope, Rebecca Stallworth of Mobile; three brothers, Charles Royster and Richard Royster, both of Milwaukee, and John E. Pope of Atlanta; and special friend, Clara Fitzgerald of Loxley.
Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Shrine of The Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Belforest Catholic Cemetery.
