Young A. “Bubba” Cox, Jr., age 87, a longtime resident of Stockton and a current resident Elsanor passed away August 8, 2012.

Mr. Cox was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army under General Patton. He had a great love for his family. He also loved animals, especially horses. Mr. Cox coached many youth in calf roping until he was over 80 years old. He was survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Garner Cox of Elsanor; two daughters, Patricia Cox (Robert) Leidner of Pensacola, Ame Cox (Bob) Wilters of Foley, son, Morton (Kathy) Cox of Stockton; seven grandchildren, Mark Leidner, Chad Leidner, Corry Cox, Patrick Cox, Blair Wilters Baxter, Meggan Cox Gunn and Stone Wilters, and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Mack Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Stockton Memorial Cemetery, Stockton. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alabama High School Rodeo Association, 3375 Highway 97 S., Cantonment, Fl. 32535 or your favorite charity. Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Hwy. 59, Robertsdale.
