Mrs. Terri Frank's first grade class at Newton School learned about the importance of eating fruits and vegetables this week. A local nutritionist and parent volunteer, Sherri McCollum, brought the children various fruits and vegetables to sample and explained why they are so important to their diet. The children sampled sweet peppers, celery, edamame, mango, dried squash, sweet potatoes, and even made their own fresh carrot and apple juice.
Pictured sampling her fresh squeezed juice is Brianna Reinhardt.
