Stanley Joseph Zaborny Sr., 90, died Friday, May 28, 2010 in Lillian.

He was born April 10, 1920 in Cleveland to Adam and Martha Rafal Zaborny. He married Nettie Broz, the love of his life, in 1942. They had three sons, Stanley Joseph Jr., Joseph Adam and Paul Anthony.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and later worked at Pensacola NAS as a master plumber/pipefitter. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, the VFW, founding member of Lillian Fire Department.

He was greatly loved and will be missed by all those who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Nettie Broz Zaborny; two sons, Joseph (Pam) Zaborny and Paul (Debbie) Zaborny of Lillian; five grandchildren, Adam, Theresa, Kenneth, Jennet and Paul Jr.; and four great-grandchildren.

The family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to the staff of Covenant Hospice for their compassion and care.

Visitation was held Tuesday, June 1 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley. Visitation, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Wednesday, June 2 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lillian. Interment followed at Prince of Peace Catholic Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or to the charity of your choice.
