Zambian Vocal Group performs at Central Christian School

The entire school along with many parents recently enjoyed the

music of the Zambian Vocal Group.  This acappella vocal group of

five men are from Zambia –a country in south-central Africa. The

original group began to sing in a small church in Zambia in 1985

and was “discovered” by a visiting American missionary in 1989. At

that time, they never thought they would ever be visiting and

touring in the United States, but the group has taken this

opportunity to travel and share their music and testimony.

The group's entire focus is to raise money to support a rundown

school that caters to orphans and other disadvantaged kids in

Lusaka, Zambia.  These young men help to support the expenses

involved in providing over 200 students in 1st - 7th grade a basic

primary education.  Their talented voices combine to provide the

rhythm and vocals for each song.  This group has been visiting

Central Christian for eight years and it is always a joy to hear

them sing and praise God.

Cameron Linehan, an 11th grader at CCS joined the ZVG for a

very special rendition of "In the Jungle".

Thank you for getting this in the paper for us.
